Maybelline Baby Lips Balm Review! Love it

Hey Lovelies,

Apologies for not posting a blog in a while now but had been caught up at work. But i am back again with a quick one – reviewing the Maybelline Baby Lips Balm. There are around 5-6 different colors available in the market. My color is Berry Crush.

Maybelline Baby Lips Balm in Berry Crush

Product:

  • Good texture – Doesnt feel very heavy on the lips…not very greecy or something.
  • Really moisturizes your lips and stays long. Maybelline claims that this balm protects and moisturizes for a full 8 hours.
  • I feel it helps peel away the dead/dry skin on lips really better. Maybelline claims that after 1 week, lips are visibly renewed, virtually reborn. I can feel this on my lips so back their claim.
  • Has a tiny bit of color to it – not color stain or something. Doesn’t stain your lips.
  • Has got little berry fragrance and tastes like berry too!
  • Cute packaging
  • Available in various colors
  • Decent pricing – 130-150 INR
  • Good value for money – you get quite a bit of product in there.

I tried applying it overnight on my lips and found my lips really soft and nourished in the morning. So, liked that feeling.

Maybelline also says you should Apply your lipcolor by starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.

All in all, i like this product. There are around 5-6 other colors available in the market, would definitely repurchase this next time and try another color.

Shoes shopping! !

Hey friends,

It’s that time of the year when every nook and corner of the city is flooded with posters n banners flashing SALE!!

It’s a sale galore everywhere and I just couldn’t resist picking up these beauties 😉 got most of them for 700-800 bucks and thought they were absolute worth the money!

1. Office wear: loved these comfortable shoes for daily office use on my formals. The good part about them are their heels. .which are not pointy but yet smoothened out flatly yet elevated. They also have a little spunge in the front for better comfort.

image

2. Sandals: I was passing buy and saw these lovely stripped sandals in yellow and just couldn’t resist picking them. They are a nice fit on anything. ..specially casual skirts,  denims or ethnic salwar kameez as well. They have a nice delicate look to them . .plus a summer yellow. ..so loved it.

image

3. Wedges: loved the snake print stripes on these. Light and dark stripes crossing each other. .Thought these could be used in casuals as well as formals. And they are wedge heels afterall, you can’t go wrong there.

4. My favorite: I just love these! ! Gorgeous looking. .sandals with a bow! I fell for these head over heels.. love at first sight; ) love the grey color. .look great on skirts one dresses. ..total value for money!

Hopefully no more shoes shopping for me. …or maybe; )

Beautiful View from a rooftop restaurant!

Hey Guys,

i have been really busy this week..so havent had a chance to blog:( But, i promise, i will blog soon.

Meanwhile thought of sharing these beautiful pics of a rooftop restaurant called “Breeze” in Powai, Mumbai. A friend suggested it. Was lucky to capture the early evening and night views…was soo nice and peaceful:) It serves only pure vegetarian food and alcohol. Bit steep in pricing but because of the incredible view, people dont mind paying 😉 There are very few roof top restaurants in Mumbai with a view…so whatever it takes for some time away from the hussle bussle of the city.

Finally found a good Gel Eyeliner!

Hey Lovlies,

Its Monday again and the week looks super hectic…but that ain’t gonna stop us from finding some happiness in small things of life here and there:)

I love eye makeup and i am very fond of eyeliners. I think it just completes the look. I personally don’t like to do touch-up on my makeup so prefer having products that last all day. My mission has always been to find a good eyeliner that i can use on my lash and water line both. My eyes are pretty watery so anything on the waterline doesn’t last long.

I had been in search of a good Gel eyeliner for a while and i found it! Its the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (Black)

I had researched quite and bit around these and tried almost all of them available in the market like B&D, Revlon, Lakme, etc but found them really dry and flaky. Thats when i came across this one from Maybelline. Bought it yesterday, tried it and loved it. So, here’s my experience with it.

Image

Pros:

  • Super creamy
  • Consistency is good
  • Lost lasting  – the package claims it to be lasting for 24 hrs
  • Comes with a nice stiff applicator brush and a lid to protect the brush
  • 2.8 gms of product for approx Rs.400/-. Think thats gonna last long.
  • No itching or burning when applied on water line
  • Smooth glide over the upper & lower lash line
  • Tried it on water line and stayed pretty well.
  • Smudge proof – once it settles, it doesn’t move.
  • Water proof – when i washed my face with water, some of it came off but most of it still remained on the eye…had to remove with eye makeup removal strips.

Cons:

  • Packaging is poor. Didnt quite like the lid of the bottle…looks like the lid of a cough syrup!
  • In India, they have only 2 colors – Black and Brown. The brown one has a little metallic feel to it and is not a dark brown as i would have loved it to be. I would have loved to have a Blue, Olive Green, Plum and dark brown shades in this line.

So, go grab one for yourself and enjoy! Do share your experiences or any other Gel Liners you think are better than this one…i’ll be happy to try them 🙂

Have a wonderful week ahead:)

Back to the buzzing city!

Hey Loves,

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My vacation is over as well…back to the busy city life. feeling rejuvenated( apart from my cold) though but vacations are never enough 😉 wanted it to be a few days more.

Had some awesome time…enjoyed the lush green beauty…long clean roads…lovely beaches and awesome company. We had been to one of the finest hotels called THE LEELA. its very far…good 1.5 hrs drive from Panjim but is pretty lavish and well maintained. They have their own private beach and the best part is…they have sea on one side and river on the other. So, while most part of Goa doesnt give you water sports during this time due to rains, The Leela has an added advantage. they offer water sports on their river side. This place is also a very good choice for destination weddings. Sharing a few pics below of the property and our journey to get there. Hope you enjoy them:)

Do you have a T-Zone or oily skin and fear to use a moisturizer because it would make your skin more oily? Here’s my new discovery solution :)

Hey Loves,

Do you have a T-Zone or oily skin and fear to use a moisturizer because it would make your skin more oily? Well, I have a solution now 🙂

I have been in search of a good moisturizer for face specifically for a long time…something i can use before applying makeup and on a daily basis. Did try many of them but was never satisfied…would either start sweating or my face would look patchy after a few minutes of applying makeup. Finally after long research on moisturizers, i have found something I am happy with. So, thought of sharing with you all. I discovered Neutrogena’s Oil Free Moisturizer.

Image

I loved it! I have a T-zone and it starts shining after a few hours of applying makeup but this moisturizer definitely reduced the oil secretion and shining of my T-zone area.

As the name suggests, its oil free moisturizer. So, its not greecy at all…blends well in the skin. It doesn’t have any fragrance at all…so if you are someone who likes to use nice smelling moisturizer, you may not like this one. But, my advice would be to try it anyway as it acts like a good binding agent for the makeup and keeps your skin nourished.

I have tried it for a week now and i love it…its priced reasonably and is readily available in drug stores. I use it in the morning before heading for work and my skin feels soft and nourished all day long 🙂

So, go ahead and definitely give this product a try…its worth it.

Have a wonderful day ahead 🙂

xoxo
