I am back with another exciting review of Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner!
I must say, its one of the reviews I have been wanting to post in a while but wanted to use the product enough to be able to share my opinion on it.
Lets begin with some facts first, this is a gel eyeliner from Lakme and i have it in the shade ‘Tempting Teal’. This was one of the most widely used product during the Lakme fashion week and claims to be smudgeproof and waterproof. You get 2.3 g of the product and retails at Rs.800. However, I had ordered mine from Nykaa website and got some it at discounted price of around Rs. 650. There are more shades in this line as well.
The packaging is really cute like that of a nail polish bottle and has a small liner brush attached on the top of the bottle. You need to pull out the applicator brush to use it.
Teal is my favourite color and I have been looking for a gel liner in teal for a very long time, I use the Chambor eyeliner pencil in teal at the moment and love it!! but being a gel liner fan, I was on look out for teal shade in gel liner. Looking at some gorgeous pictures of Tempting Teal gel eyeliner used on models during the Lakme Fashion week, I was awestruck! I had to get it…but this shade was always very difficult to find. Finally, I got it in stock on Nykaa
When I received the package, I was super excited! I open the package and got dejected!! That was because the color of the gel liner was sky blue in color!! and I was so sure that maybe I was sent some incorrect color. I checked the name of the package and it read ‘Tempting Teal’! I was like how can a sky blue color be called TEAL!
Finally, I picked some of the liner to swatch and it swatched TEAL!! OMG…I can’t express my relief and happiness! The reason of sharing this story with you is purely to confirm that though the liner in the bottle looks light blue in color…it swatches dark teal!!
The color is gorgeous!! totally true to its claim – smudgeproof and waterproof. Glides on like butter and stayed all day long. Though, if you look closely, it has the tiniest bit of sparkle particles to it. But that is what it gives the rich look. The sparkle particles are so small that you may not even notice them unless looked closely. So, definitely wearable color during day and in office.
Given the good experience with this product..I am really tempted to order other shades from this line. Its a bit expensive than other gel eyeliners in the market from Maybelline or Loreal..but I would say given the color range and the long staying power, its worth the money. And a little bottle goes a long way!
If you have tried any other shades from this line, let me know your experiences too. Hope this review is helpful to you!
I am back with a quick review of The Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara review! !
A friend in USA recommended this to me and swore by this mascara. So, I was really intrigued and wanted to try it for myself. I have it in shade very black. It claims to give corner to corner coverage and 400% volume.
I must say…I am IMPRESSED!! the mascara is so light weight that you don’t feel your wearing anything on your lashes! And the holding power is phenomenal.
The USP of this product lies in its wand. The wand is super thin with tiny rubber bristles. It’s so easy to put it right close to the lash lines! It was super easy to apply on lower lash line as well without marking the skin beneath.
I have used many mascaras before from Maybeline, L’Oréal and Rimmel. But have not felt this great before. These mascaras have huge wands and they feel heavy on the lashes. ..whereas this Covergirl one. .is awesome. It gives a beautiful curl to the lashes that looks nice and natural. Something that you would like to wear everyday and yet won’t look over the top. I was able to get perfect natural curled lashes in just one stroke. It provided instant volume and length without making me feel there was lot of product on my lashes!
You don’t get Covergirl as a brand in India yet, but this product is available on amazon. It’s not very expensive. .ranges between 6 to 10$.
I highly recommend this product and it’s become my go to mascara now! It’s definitely a holy grail product as far as mascara is concerned! Life changing!
Happy Independence Day to all my Indian friends!!
As promised, I am back with another Patanjali product review and this time around it is the Activated Carbon facewash.
Let me begin by saying that I have waited enough to post this review as I wanted to be sure about how I feel about this product after using it over 2 weeks.
This is the only black packaging facewash from Patanjali’s range. You get 60gm of product for Rs.60/- which i think is a decent price to begin with.
It is metallic grey in colour and smells different and not like other herbal facewash’s from Patanjali. It smells a bit flowery I think, but definitely not herbal or ayurvedic. Although this one too, is herbal, it smells different.
The package claims that it is made from natural extracts of Neem, Aloevera & Turmeric which helps cleanse gently, nourishes and revitalize the skin tissues to make complexion fresh, smooth and beautiful. The package also mentions that this has activated carbon + Vitamin E and Vitamin A.
According to me, this is a great product and delivers to the claim. Your skin will definitely feel cleaner after use. I also feel, the activated carbon does a good job at deep cleaning the pores and softens the white heads/black heads that you may have around your nose or chin. Post facewash, you will be able to extract them with your towel with minimum pressure. Obviously, they are not going to go off completely, but i am saying they are easier to remove.
An added advantage is the lack of herbal smell. Not many people like the typical neem or aloevera smell that most herbal products carry. This one smells like any other non-herbal facewash.
I have got the males in my family to try this product and they have liked it too. I am told it is similar to the other male specific activated carbon facewashes available in the market from Nivea, Garnier and others, however, much cheaper than them. So, thats definitely a plus.
I don’t really have anything bad to talk about this product as such. I have liked it. I feel it cleans my pores deeply. I will definitely repurchase it given that it is a good substitute to other activated carbon facewashes available in the market today but at a cheaper price.
I have used the Neem & Aloevera facewash too from Patanjali (you can view that review here –>Patanjali Products Review
I have also shared the list of all Patanjali products and their prices on my blog. You can view it here –> List of all Patanjali Products & their prices
I will be sharing a comparision between these 2 facewashes from Patanjali soon and which one to buy!
